Juniors Sessions & Futsal

Do you hate it when you play soccer and you barely touch the ball because there are too many people on the field and the ball always goes out of bounds and slows the game down? Our small-sided soccer games are designed to be fun and educational all at the same time. The goal is for players to play with context and not pressure. Similar to pick-up basketball games in the schoolyard, players are playing, having fun, making mistakes, learning from their mistakes and learning how to play the game with a lot less structure and pressure. What our Offsides Soccer Academy coaches have researched and learned is that many of the current and past professional legendary futbol players grew up playing soccer in alleyways, streets and places with limited or unusual space in their own neighborhood or areas nearby. They learned how to play autonomously at younger ages which helped build creativity, better problem-solving skills and most importantly it built a solid foundation for these players to passionately develop and love the game. This program is highly recommended for youth players and their development. Many of our youth players have had a tremendous amount of success playing MLS Next Academies, ECNL, EA and other US Youth Soccer Programs.
THE BENEFITS OF SMALL-SIDED PLAYING:
Players get more touches on the ball compared to regular games and more players are involved in the outcome of the game. They also learn about playing in shapes at a younger age like diamonds and triangles which translate effectively when they get older. Due also to the size of the field and having no throw-ins to decrease wait-times, the ball almost stays constantly in play and becomes higher in tempo forcing players to make quicker decisions, be creative and for them to solve problems quicker.
